walking
onthe
sidewalk
near
theSpaceNeedle
atthe
SeattleCenter
tum
around
(400blockBroad
St).Anothermaleaskedhimifhewasfrom"Yaks"or"Yanks."Diazdidnot
knowthisperson,andhekeptwalking.AsDiazcontinuedto
walk,
hewasstruckintheheadwithaskateboard.Diazpulledarevolverfromhispocket,andhefired
fourbulletstowardthemalewhohadjuststruckhim.Themale
with
the
skateboardandanothermalewererunningsouthboundtoward

fired
atthemales,oneof
the
bulletsstruck
a
victimstandingonthe
sidewalkon

St.RyanM.BurrWIMJ032179was
waiting
to
crossBroad
Streetwhen
he
was
struckintheright
calf.
Thebulletwentinto
his
legand
exited.
Thesuspect
with
the
skateboard
andanothermaleobservedwith
him
fled
the
scene.
Victim/Burr
wastreatedatthescene
by
SFD,
and
hewaslatertransported
toHM:Cforfurthertreatment.
Officers
broadcasta
description
oftheshooter.
SuspectIDiazrannorthbound
thru
the
Seattle
Center
and
intothe
food
court.Hewastakenintocustody.Officerslecateda.22caliberrevolver
in
Dlaz'spocket.
Thegunhadfouremptycasingsaridtwolivebullets
in
the
cylinder
ofthe
revolver.
Thesuspectwasalsotransportedto
Illv1G.
Dlaahadalarge
wound
tohislefteyebrow.WhileenroutetoHMC,OfficerCollierread
Diaz
hisrights
which
he
statedheunderstood.Witness/Brownwaspresentduringthesuspectbeingread
his
