This booklet contains basic guidelines on
the Gas Metal Arc Process.

The basic information is from \u201cRecommended Practices for
Gas Metal Arc Welding\u201d, AWS C5.6-89. It has been
edited and is reprinted through the courtesy of the
American Welding Society.

experience in the aluminum welding industry. He has been active in AWS, CSA, WIC and
undertaken special studies for the National Research Council and the Welding Research
Council. He was a former member and Chairman of the Aluminum Association\u2019s Technical
Committee on Welding and Joining.
