THE ENCHANTED CASTLE

A dark, stormy night in an enchanted forest. The wind is howling, the rain is pouring, only the Moon casts a faint glimmer of light upon the scary forest. In the distance you can only see a huge, dark building. You have no other choice but to head towards it.

After some time you understand it is a castle, it looks as if it is deserted, but is it? The storm is at its height. You are in front of the door, you half open it what is waiting for you inside salvation or a bigger hazard?

The premise is dark, you make several steps and suddenly the candles on the walls start burning. You then see that the inside is very beautiful.

While you are looking around, the ghost of the butler of the castle appears in front of you. He can let you stay in the castle during the storm and then you will be shown the way out of the enchanted forest. But you have to prove you are worthy of his attention and help. If you are not, you will be cast into prison for good. You have to go through the six halls on the first floor. Each hall of the castle has a ghost, who is in charge of it. He will ask you questions and if you answer correctly, you have the right to go to the next hall. In each hall you can only stay for 5 minutes.

HALL 1

Past Perfect Continuous- I had been coming into the castle without permission. Future Simple- I will come into the castle without permission. Future Perfect Continuous- I will have been coming into the castle without permission.

HALL 2

In the Library the ghost of the librarian will tell you names of characters of Shakespeares literary works. You have to say which the literary work is: Friar Laurence Romeo and Juliet Polonius Hamlet Desdemona Othello Macduff Macbeth Miranda The Tempest

HALL 3

In the Music Hall the ghost of the musician in chief asks you to name three popular string instruments.

(harp, cello, violin)

HALL 4

In the Throne Hall the ghost of the last king asks you to name the kings or queens of England who: - had 8 wives Henry 8th - is the present queen of England Elizabeth 2nd - was called The Lionhearted Richard - was on the English throne for the longest period of time - Victoria

HALL 5

In the Dancing and Entertainment Hall the clown ghost asks you to turn the 3 sentences from active to passive voice. 1. The guest will eat the plate after dinner. 2. The sun is shining upon the big nose of the old lady. 3. The clown has bought a new cap with bells, so that the old cook can not fall asleep.

4. HALL 6

In the Dining Hall the ghost of the cook will ask you to name the following ingredients in English:

(turnip, radish, courgette, chilly peppers, parsley, dill)

After Hall 6, you have to go to the royal stables because only the ghost of the horse-keeper knows the way out of the forest. He will show you 5 pictures. Name the objects in the pictures in English:

(horseshoe, reins, bit, stirrup, saddle)
