It refers to a large number of activitiesthat help turn the temporary peace of an agreement which ends the fighting into alasting end to the conflict itself. Through reconciliation and the related processesof

 /or transitional justice, parties to the dispute explore andovercome the pain brought on during the conflict and find ways to build trust andlive cooperatively with each other.

1. The reconciliation was initiated by the Ulama Council of Basilan.2. Gov. Hataman and Gov. Akbar expressed hope that the reconciliation of their clans will be anew beginning towards peace and progress in the island of Basilan.2. Gov. Jum Akbar dismissed accusations against the Hatamans.4. The reconciliation between the Akbars and Hatamans was witnessed and praised by OPAP Sec.Deles and DILG Sec. Robredo.5. According to OIC Gov. Hataman this is just a first step in his reforms for peace anddevelopment.
