Introduction
Well, the third and final part of the trilogy is available atlast! First of all, I must apologise for the late arrival ofthis publication due mainly to a change in family circumstances- the arrival of my baby daughter, Lauren Sarah - and partlydue to increased professional responsibilities and an unplanned(and unwanted) burglary! Thus, the Necromancer Besieged has been delayed - the firstdraft (circa 1990/91) was somewhat unsuccessful - the seconddraft was on the computer when it was stolen! I now present thethird (and hopefully final) draft of what, though planned to bethe sixth Brigade Games publication - is now the tenth!I would also wish to offer my apologies to Ian and Ron atIrregular Miniatures, for it is they who have suffered theconstant badgering from fellow wargamers, at shows and over the'phone, whilst (hopefully) eagerly awaiting the availability ofthe third part of the series.Likewise, my apologies to you the wargamers, especially tothose who have written requesting information regarding rulesclarification - I have answered every letter, although for somethere may have been a slight delay. Thank you all though foryour kind words of approval. As promised, within this tome will be found basic rules forsieges, naval vessels and characteristics for races/creaturesto cover as far as possible the newer releases in the IrregularMiniatures Fantasy range. I have also added rules for gunpowderweapons, which although relevant to the current subject, havebeen requested by many, for inclusion in the rules. Before continuing further with this latest offering, I wouldwish to note my thanks to the following :First of all to Brian at Brigade Games for being the go-between and continually badgering me for a completion date.Secondly, to the Newton Aycliffe Wargames Group (newly mergedwith the Darlington Scattered Remains Wargames Group).Last but by no means least to Sharron and Lauren, who providethe main reasons behind this publication.May your dice throws always be higher than your opponent's.Mike C.
