Atlantis
The myth of a lost city

Once upon a time, there was a small, isolated, rocky island in the sea, the kingdom of Poseidon, the ancient God of all seas. On that island lived only a couple with their daughter Kleito. Even though they worked very hard they were very happy. Poseidon not able to understand how that was possible, observed them secretly as a human. He watched Kleito everyday and fell in love with her and finally he appeared to her to ask her to marry him.

She accepted and on the wedding day he couldnt hide his real identity as God any more since all the creatures came to honor him during the ceremony. As a gift to his wife he promised to make the island beautiful like his queen. So he did. The island became green, fertile, filled with animals and plants and more and more people came to live on this paradise. They even built a palace dedicated to Poseidon and Kleito. Kleito gave birth to 10 children which later lived also on this island. The island was named Atlantida after their first son Atlantas. Poseidons greatest wish was for everyone on the island to live in peace and happiness; therefore he gave them laws they had to follow, or else he would put a curse on them. The most important was that they had to respect life in every form and not to harm another being. And so they did for many years. Poseidon returned satisfied in his kingdom under seas.

After many many years he emerged again to see how his sons were doing. He cried with disappointment when he saw his island abandoned and the people fighting. He was so angry that he raised his trident and caused a stir. The huge wave came over the island and it sank into the deep sea. The people still lived under the water but they never talked or fought again. In time they transformed into creatures of the sea. Atlantida is lost ever since and even today there are people looking for this city
