@ Date: June 07,2012 Ref No. BCG/P1/DAR/SITE-069 Subject: Bridge Bearing Vertical Capacity Dear Ahmed, Just would like to clarify this matter there is a discrepancy between Un-factored Live Load tables sent through the emails dated May 12,2012 and June 7,2012 please see below: ~ Table received via email Dated May 12, 2012 Table received via email dated june 7, 2012 For the Abutment & Pier short span For the Abutment & Pier short span Factored Live Load = 75 Tons (750 kn) Un-factored Live Load = (75/2.17) = 35.6tons (356 Kn) | Un-factored Live Load = 20 tons (200 Kn) Pier Long Span Pier Long Span Factored Live Load = 80 Tons (800 Kn) Un-Factored Live Load = (80/2.17) = 37 Tons (370 Kn) __| Un-Factored Live Load = 35 Tons (350 Kn) I have attach with this email the copy of the said email please refer to page 5 and page 9 for details. Also | just would like to clarify that we are going to issue the 2™ set of table which can be found on page 9 of this attachment which you have just sent me to answer the contractor query. But in same table sent via email attachment on June 7,2012 the total service load is 120 tons (please see page 9) at pier large span side, while in the drawing (see page 10) the vertical capacity is 1300 kn or 130tons. Please advice.
