CHOICES IN LITTLE ROCK

Your Task: Civics has always been a class that Ive had a hard time explaining to other students. The short and sweet of it is that its about citizenship but as you know having taken it, its about a lot more than that. Ive always found it difficult to just use a couple of sentences to describe what the class is all about and I also think students have a hard time figuring out what its all about as well. For your final assignment, write a letter to a Civics student next year. Questions to Think About & Address: Start by reflecting about the Civics journey, as depicted above. What were your initial expectations coming into the course? How have they changed now that you have finished the course? Without giving away too much, what have you learned from the course? What was the most valuable part of the course to you? What advice can you have to students who are about to embark on the Civics journey? Requirements: Please plan out your letter and organize it into cohesive paragraphs (use the back) Your letter must start: Dear future 8th grader 1-2 pages TYPED Free from spelling, grammar, sentence structure errors Shows evidence of reflection on the course This project is due on Friday June 15th printed out to Mr. V by 2:30 p.m. This assignment is worth 30% of your Final Exam grade!
