Difference between solar pumping and traditional pumping:

1. Pumping head and water required per day should be determined : water required per day can be determined by multiplying the present pumps flow rate with the present operating hours of the pump Example: 5 hour operation at 5 liters per second = 90000 liters per day (5hrs/dayx3600secs/hrx5liters/sec) 2.
