Flipping frees up class time. But what do you do with all of this time once you have it? Troy will share best practices for using class time to engage students so that the flipped classroom is not a glorified study hall, but instead a place of debate, discussion and discovery. Troy will also discuss how kids can create learning material using mobile devices and TechSmith products, including Snagit, Fuse and ScreenChomp.

Teachers are tasked with many responsibilities. Delivering instruction, dealing with absences, helping struggling students and answering parents questions can make time management can seem impossible. In this session, Mark will walk you through how he has used tools from the flipped tool kit to help address these issues and discuss how you can use these tools to make your classroom life easier.

Imagine teaching an advanced placement calculus class with strong achievement expectations. In this session, Stacey will explain how using the flipped tool kit and iPads have changed her students learning environment. Outcomes include increased comprehension, reduced anxiety levels and grade improvements without increasing class time or homework.

Can you imagine giving a classroom of students the ability to create their own class? Brian has done just that by creating a class where choice is king and students have the freedom to work at their own pace. Brian can now encourage and facilitate more relevant, one-to-one learning for his students.

We Flipped Out! And Our Failure Rates Are Down Dramatically! Clintondale High School
What would you do if your school had high failure rates, low test scores and increasing discipline problems? In this session, Clintondale High School will share their experience in flipping their school and the unbelievable results theyve seen so far, such as reduced failure rates in english by 33%, math by 31%, science by 22% and social studies by 19%. And they even got to tell their story on CNN and Fast Company!

Tech Tales From a Technology Facilitator RJ Bialk, The Joseph Sears School
Theres a lot of talk about the flipped model and how it impacts teachers and students. But how does it impact the technology facilitators? This session will introduce the experiences straight from a tech expert himself. RJ will discuss implementing a lecture capture system (Camtasia Relay) across an entire elementary school and what teachers and students are saying about it.
