June 14, 2012 For Immediate Release CRG Network Supports City of Milwaukee Alderman Donvovan Trolley Referendum

CRG Network wholeheartedly supports the proposal advanced by City of Milwaukee Alderman Robert Donovan to put the question of whether to invest tens of millions of taxpayer dollars in a 2.8-mile, fixed rail, downtown trolley loop to a citizen referendum. CRG spokesperson Chris Kliesmet added, Regardless of what side of the issue you are on, it just makes sense to ask the citizenry to weigh-in on how $54 million in our federal tax dollars, a potentially equal amount in our local funds, plus $3 million or more in yearly operating costs, will be spent. This is a particularly critical issue given that there are other equally deserving transportation projects to choose from. When politicians stonewall on referenda it is a sure sign they fear the result. In todays difficult times there is no place for cowards in positions of leadership! Alderman Donovan will be sponsoring a referenda rally this Saturday, June 16th, 11AM, at: McKiernans Tavern 2066 S. 37th St Milwaukee, WI 53215

Alderman Donovan will be on hand to discuss the situation along with volunteers who will provide referenda petitions to sign and distribute.
