v.
Mark Ritchie Appellate Case No. Al2-0920 Dear
Chief
Justice Gildea:As
of
today, three parties have petitioned to intervene and several have applied to submit amicus briefs.Iurge the Court to allow all perspectives to be heard as it considers this very important matter. As the State's Chief Elections Official, I have the ministerial duty to ensure that the ballots are properlyprinted, not
to
take a side as
to
whether a ballot question proposed by the Legislature accurately orcompletely represents a Constitutional amendment under consideration. I therefore will not be filing abrief
in
this matter. I look forward
to
honoring and following the Court's decision in the preparation
of
the ballots.
On
the request from the Court for information about the date when a decision is needed to ensure thetimely printing
of
general election ballots, I will provide this information by letter on
or
before the daterequested, June 25
