Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Brian Hogan and it is my great honor to serve as the Chairman of the Colonie Republican Committee. This is an awesome responsibility because it is the Republican leadership which through the years has transformed Colonie from a rural, farming community into the vibrant balance of residential and commercial neighborhoods that it is today. I have been active in our community my entire career. I served as Director of the Colonie Youth Center for 25 years during which the Ciccotti Center was built. I have been an active member of the Kiwanis Club and the Friends of the Pruyn House. I served two terms as a Town of Colonie Board Member. In 2011, I was elected to the Albany County Legislature by defeating an incumbent Democrat. My heart is in this Town. I am committed to returning our government to the sound, professional leadership that made us one of the safest towns in America. A Town that builds wonderful recreational facilities we can all enjoy, all while keeping our taxes low. However, I cannot do this alone. I need your help. If we are to be successful, we must get back to basics. We must listen to the residents and business owners. We must offer candidates who are devoted to serving us, who are willing to work with everyone and who will make us proud. I promise to open our Party to all who are interested. I also promise to keep you informed. To that end, I extend to you an invitation to the First Annual Colonie Republican Headquarters Open House on Saturday, June 16th from 1pm to 3pm. The Republican Headquarters is located at 145 Wolf Road in the Wolf Road Shoppers Park. This free event will give us the opportunity to spend some time with our candidates, elected officials and friends old and new. Light refreshments will be served.
