Vision The question asked was: ‘How can DSM become the most sustainable company in the world?’
We think the real change can only come from the inside of a company. This will not be achieved by only reset-ting the vision and mission, and the board investing in (more) sustainable projects. The change has to comefrom the real inside; the employees. HR of DSM states: ‘We regard our employees as our most valuable asset forsucceeding in our mission’. What we will do is, put together a program that will succeed in making the DSMemployees the most sustainable employees in the world. This will be done by creating a DSM-community witha shared vision and mental model. Having a sustainable employee-base will increase the possibility of succeeding in any action taken within, or from the company to the outside world, in sustainability.We introduce, ‘Living Sustainably’ program for DSM company, which is a human resource project that buildsan internal community and shares sustainable values. This program will increase the sustainable value of DSMbrand, preparing and encouraging sustainable actions from within the company.
