recession

It seems everywhere you turn you hear horror stories caused by this economic turmoil. The unemployment rate has dramatically increased; leaving people lost and doubtful those things will ever get better. I believe that if we want to achieve sustainable development we need to create a new architecture of international economic relations based on trust and mutually beneficial integration. We cannot ignore the importance of healthy competition, but at the same time, we need to move towards forming common and interdependent interests and ties. If nothing else, 2009 will be starting off with attention given to better spending and savings habits. Hopefully the stimulus plan that falls under the Obama administration will restore prosperity in the American country and the whole world in general. The recession has definitely affected our lives. However, studies have found some good in the recession. Apparently some industries are thriving more than ever before because of it. At least I am happy to know that there is still hope.
