Print 2 halves of the shield tem-plates and theemblem designs thatyou want to decorateyour shield. Your em-blems can be printedon coloured papers.
Stick bothhalves of thesheild together.Lightly glue to the backof your metalic card-board. Cut out your shield shape, leavingenough card to makeyour handle strap later.
Cut out stripesof colouredpaper about 1cm wide if you wouldlike to decorate your shield with divisions asshow here.
Cut out you em-blems carefullyusing the greyguidelines. Older craft-ers may want to cut outin more detail. Arrangeand stick down your emblems and decora-tions.
Cut out a bandof silver cardabout 3cm wideand 23cm long. Stapleit to the back of your shield from side to side.This handle will bendyour shield to a nicecurve.

40x40cm sheet of gold or silver cardboardtemplates printed outs (on white or coloured paper)stick or paper gluescissorsruler stapler sticky tape
plastic jewels2 or 3 strips of coloured card 1cm x 35cm
Stick somesticky tape over the staple endsto stop them gettingcaught or scratching.Team your shield with asword, helmet and tunicto make a knight’s cos-tume.
