N.B. (I) (a) :
A candidate is required to specifyclearly in respective column of the OnlineApplication the Services for which he/shewishes to be considered in the order of his/ her preference. A male candidate is advisedto indicate as many preferences as hewishes to, subject to the condition given atparas (b) and (c) below, so that havingregard to his rank in the order of merit dueconsideration can be given to hispreferences when making appointment.
Since women candidates are eligible forOTA only, they should give OTA as theirfirst and only preference.(b) (i) :
If a male candidate is competing forShort Service Commission (Army) only, heshould indicate OTA as the one and onlychoice. However, a male candidatecompeting for Short Service CommissionCourse at OTA as well as permanentcommission course at IMA, Indian NavalAcademy and Air Force Academy shouldindicate OTA as his last preference,otherwise OTA will be deemed to be the lastchoice even if it is given a higher preferenceby the candidate.
(b) (ii) :
Women candidates are beingconsidered only for Short ServiceCommission at OTA. They should indicateOTA as the only choice.
(c) :
Candidates who desire to join Air ForceAcademy must indicate AFA as first choice,as they have to be administered pilotaptitude battery test at one of the AFSB andAF Medical at Central MedicalEstablishment/Institute of AviationMedicines. Choice exercised for AFA assecond/third etc. will be treated as invalid.
(d) :
Candidates should note that, except asprovided in
(II) below, they will beconsidered for appointment to thosecourses only for which they exercise theirpreference and for no other course(s).
(e) :
No request for addition/alteration in thepreferences already indicated by a candidatein his/her application will be entertained bythe Commission. No change of choice onceexercised will be allowed. Second choicewill come for consideration only when thefirst choice is not offered to the candidate byServices HQ. When first choice is offered anda candidate declines the same, his/hercandidature will be cancelled for all otherchoices for regular commission.
N.B. (II) :
The left-over candidates of IMA/ Indian Naval Academy/Air Force Academycourses viz, those who have beenrecommended by the Union Public ServiceCommission for grant of permanentcommission on the basis of the final resultsof this Examination, but who could not beinducted on these courses for any reasonwhatsoever may be considered for grant ofSSC even if they have not indicated theirchoice for this course in their applications, ifthey are subsequently willing to beconsidered for this course subject to thefollowing conditions :
There is a shortfall after detailing all thecandidates who competed for the SSCCourse; and
The candidates who are detailed fortraining even though they have notexpressed their preference for SSC will beplaced in the order of Merit List after thelast candidate who had opted for thisCourse, as these candidates will be gettingadmission to the Course to which they arenot entitled according to the preferenceexpressed by them.
Candidates with Air Force as first andonly choice cannot be considered as leftover for grant of SSC (OTA) if they fail in thePilot Aptitude Battery Test. Such candidates,if they desire to be considered for SSC (OTA)should exercise their option for OTA also.
NOTE 1 :
NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Army Wing/ Senior Division Air Wing/Naval Wing)holders may also compete for the vacanciesin the Short Service Commission Coursebut since there is no reservation ofvacancies for them in this course, they willbe treated as general candidates for thepurpose of filling up vacancies in this course.Candidates who have yet to pass NCC ‘C’Certificate (Army Wing/Senior Division AirWing/Naval Wing) examination, but areotherwise eligible to compete for thereserved vacancies, may also apply butthey will be required to submit the proof ofpassing the NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Army Wing/ Senior Division Air Wing/Naval Wing)examination to reach the Army HQ/Rtg.CDSE Entry for SSC male candidates andSSC women entry for female candidatesWest Block-III, R.K. Tobe eligible to compete for reservedvacancies the candidates should haveserved for not less than two academic yearsin the Senior Division Army Wing and threeacademic years in the Senior Division AirWing/Naval Wing of National Cadet Corpsand should not have been discharged fromthe NCC for more than 24 months for IMA/ Indian Naval Academy/Air Force Academycourses on the last date of receipt ofApplication in the Commission’s Office.
NOTE 2 :
In the event of sufficient number ofqualified NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Army Wing/ Senior Division Air Wing/Naval Wing) holdersnot becoming available on the results of theexamination to fill all the vacancies reservedfor them in the Indian Military AcademyCourse/Air Force Academy Course/IndianNaval Academy Course, the unfilledreserved vacancies shall be treated asunreserved and filled by general candidates.Admission to the above courses will bemade on the results of the writtenexamination to be conducted by theCommission followed by intelligence andpersonality test by the Services SelectionBoard of candidates who qualify in thewritten examination. The details regardingthe (a) Scheme, standard, syllabus of theexamination. (b) Instructions to candidatesfor filling up the Online Application Form(c) Special instructions to candidates forobjective type tests. (d) Guidelines withregard to physical standards for admissionto the Academy and (e) Brief particulars ofservices etc. for candidates joining theIndian Military Academy, Indian NavalAcademy, Air Force Academy and Officers’Training Academy are given in AppendicesI, II, III, IV and V respectively.
The Examination will be held at thefollowing Centres :
The centres and the date of holding theexamination as mentioned above are liableto be changed at the discretion of theCommission. While every effort will bemade to allot the candidates to the centreof their choice for examination, theCommission may, at their discretion allot adifferent centre to a candidate, when
The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfil all eligibility conditionsfor admission to the Examination. Their admission at all the stages of the examination will bepurely
subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions.
Mere issue of Admission Certificate to the candidate will not imply that his/hercandidature has been finally cleared by the Commission.
Verification of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents will be taken up onlyafter the candidate has qualified for Interview/Personality Test.
2. How to ApplyCandidates are required to apply online only, by using the websitewww.upsconline.nic.in
Detailed instructions are available on the abovementioned website.Brief instructions for filling up the Online Application Form have been given in the Appendix II.
The Online Applications can be filled upto
2nd July, 2012 till 11.59 PM
after which the link willbe disabled.
4. The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admission Certificate three weeksbefore the commencement of the examination. The e-Admission Certificate willbe made available in the UPSC website [www.upsc.gov.in] for downloading bycandidates. No Admission Certificate will be sent by post. All the applicants arerequired to provide valid & active e-mail i.d. while filling up Online applicationform as the commission may use electronic mode for contacting them.
Candidates should note that there will be penalty
(Negative Marking)
for wrong answersmarked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.
For both writing and marking answers in the OMR sheet [Answer Sheet], candidates mustuse
black ball pen
only. Pens with any other colours are prohibited. Do not use Pencil or Inkpen. Candidates are further advised to read carefully the "Special Instructions" contained inAppendix-III of the Notice.

(a)Mobiles phones, pagers or any other communication devices are not allowed insidethe premises where the examination is being conducted. Any infringement of theseinstructions shall entail disciplinary action including ban from future examinations.(b)Candidates are advised in their own interest not to bring any of the banned itemsincluding mobile phones/pagers or any valuable costly items to the venue of theexamination, as arrangements for safekeeping cannot be assured.

alternative certificates mentioned above.Sometimes the Matriculation/HigherSecondary Examination Certificate doesnot show the date of birth, or only showsthe age by completed years or completedyears and months. In such cases acandidate must send in addition to theattested/certified copy of Matriculation/ Higher Secondary Examination Certificatean attested/certified copy of a certificatefrom the Headmaster/Principal of theInstitution from where he/she passsed theMatriculation/Higher Secondary Examina-tion showing the date of his/her birth orexact age as recorded in the AdmissionRegister of the Institution.
NOTE 1 :
Candidates should note that onlythe Date of Birth as recorded in theMatriculation/Higher Secondary Exami-nation Certificate or an equivalent certificateon the date of submission of applicationswill be accepted by the Commission and nosubsequent request for its change will beconsidered or granted.
NOTE 2 :
Candidates should also note thatonce a Date of Birth has been claimed bythem and entered in the records of theCommission for the purpose of admissionto an Examination, no change will beallowed subsequently or at a subsequentexamination on any ground whatsoever.
NOTE 3 :
The candidates should exercisedue care while entering their date of birth.If on verification at any subsequent stageany variation is found in their date of birthfrom the one entered in their Matriculationor equivalent examination certificate,disciplinary action will be taken againstthem by the Commission under the Rules.

-Degree of a recognisedUniversity or equivalent.
For Indian Naval Academy :
Degree inEngineering for CDSE and Degree inEngineering or B.Sc. (with Physics orMathematics) for NCC entry.
For Air Force Academy :
Degree of arecognised University (with Physics andMathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor ofEngineering.Graduates with first choice as Army/Navy/ Air Force are to submit proof of graduationprovisional certificates on the date ofcommencement of the SSB Interview at theSSB.Candidates who are studying in the finalyear Degree course and have yet to passthe final year degree examination can alsoapply but they will be required to submitproof of passing the degree examination toreach the Army HQ/Rtg. CDSE Entry, WestBlock III, R.K. Puram, New Delhi-110066 incase of IMA/SSC first choice candidates andNaval HQ “DMPR”, (OI & R Section) RoomNo. 204, ‘C’ Wing, Sena Bhawan, NewDelhi-110011 in case of Navy first choicecandidates and PO3(A)/Air Headquarters,‘J’ Block, Room No. 17, Opp. Vayu Bhawan,Motilal Nehru Marg, New Delhi-110011 incase of Air Force first choice candidates bythe following dates failing which theircandidature will stand cancelled:(i) For admission to IMA, Indian NavalAcademy and Air Force Academy on orbefore

Candidates possessing professional andtechnical qualifications which are recognisedby government as equivalent to professionaland technical degrees would also be eligiblefor admission to the examination.In exceptional cases the Commission maytreat a candidate, who does not possess anyof the qualifications prescribed in this rule aseducationally qualified provided that he/shepossesses qualifications, the standard ofwhich in the opinion of the Commission, justifies his/her admission to the examination.
NOTE 1 :
Candidates, who have yet to passtheir degree examination will be eligibleonly if they are studying in the final year ofdegree examination. Those candidates whohave yet to qualify in the final year DegreeExamination and are allowed to appear inthe UPSC Examination should note that thisis only a special concession given to them.They are required to submit proof of passingthe Degree examination by the prescribeddate and no request for extending this datewill be entertained on the grounds of lateconduct of basic qualifying UniversityExamination, delay in declaration of resultsor any other ground whatsoever.
NOTE 2 :
Candidates who are debarredby the Ministry of Defence from holding anytype of commission in the Defence Servicesshall not be eligible for admision to theexamination and if admitted, theircandidature will be cancelled.
NOTE 3 :
In the event of Air Force candidatesbeing suspended from Flying Training forfailure to learn flying, they would beabsorbed in the Navigation/Administration/ Logistic Branch of the IAF. This will be subjectto availability of vacancies and fulfilling thelaid down qualitative requirements(including 60% in graduation).
(d) Physical Standards :
Candidates must be physically fit accordingto physical standards for admission to
Combined Defence ServicesExamination (II), 2012
as per guidelinesgiven in Appendix-IV.
4. FEE :
Candidates (excepting Female/SC/STcandidates who are exempted frompayment of fee) are required to pay a fee of
Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only)
either by depositing the money in anyBranch of SBI by cash, or by using netbanking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner& Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/StateBank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/StateBank of Travancore or by using Visa/MasterCredit/Debit Card.
1. Candidates should note thatpayment of examination fee can be madeonly through the modes prescribed above.Payment of fee through any other mode isneither valid nor acceptable. Applicationssubmitted without the prescribed fee/mode(unless remission of fee is claimed) shallbe summarily rejected.
2. Fee once paid shall not berefunded under any circumstances nor canthe fee be held in reserve for any otherexamination or selection.
3. For the applicants in whose casepayments detials have not been receivedfrom the bank they will be treated asfictitious payment cases and a list of allsuch applicants shall be made availableon the Commission website within twoweeks after the last day of sumission ofonline application. These applicants shallalso be intimated through e-mail to submitcopy of proof of their payment to theCommission at the address mentioned inthe e-mail. The applicant shall be requiredto submit the proof within 10 days from thedate of such communication either by handor by speed post to the Commission. Incase, no response is received from theapplicant their application shall besummarily rejected and no furthercorrespondence shall be entertained inthis regard.

The applicants are advised to submitonly single application; however if due toany unavoidable situation, if he/shesubmits another/multiple applications,
circumstances so warrant. Candidatesadmitted to the examination will beinformed of the time table and place orplaces of examination.
Candidates should note that no requestfor change of centre will be granted.NOTE :
While filling in his/her onlineApplication Form, the candidates shouldcarefully decide about his/her choice for thecentre for the examination.
If any candidate appears at a Centre/Paper other than the one indicated bythe Commission in his/her AdmissionCertificate, the papers of such acandidate will not be valued and his/hercandidature will be liable to cancellation.3. CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY :(a) Nationality :
A candidate must either be :(i) a Citizen of India, or(ii) a subject of Bhutan, or(iii) a subject of Nepal, or(iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to Indiabefore the 1st January, 1962 with theintention of permanently settling in India, or(v) a person of Indian origin who has migratedfrom Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and EastAfrican Countries of Kenya, Uganda, theUnited Republic of Tanzania, Zambia,Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam withthe intention of permanently settling in India.Provided that a candidate belonging tocategories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shallbe a person in whose favour a certificate ofeligibility has been issued by theGovernment of India.Certificate of eligibility will, however, notbe necessary in the case of candidates whoare Gorkha subjects of Nepal.A candidate in whose case a certificate ofeligibility is necessary, may be admitted tothe examination provisionally subject to thenecessary certificate being given to him/ her by the Govt. before declaration of resultby UPSC.
(b) Age Limits, Sex and Marital Status :(i)
-Unmarried male candidates bornnot earlier than 2nd July, 1989 and not laterthan 1st July, 1994 only are eligible.
For Indian Naval Academy
-Unmarriedmale candidates born not earlier than 2ndJuly, 1991 (2nd July, 1989 in case of NCCNaval Wing ‘C’ Certificate holders) and notlater than 1st July, 1994 only are eligible.
For Air Force Academy
-Unmarriedmale candidates born not earlier than 2ndJuly, 1990 and not later than 1st July, 1994only are eligible.
For Officers' Training Academy- (SSCCourse for Men) :
Male candidates(married or unmarried) born not earlier than2nd July, 1988 and not later than 1st July,1994 only are eligible.
For Officers Training Academy - (SSCWomen Non-Technical Course)
Unmarried Women, issueless widows whohave not remarried and issuelessdivorcees (in possession of divorcedocuments) who have not remarried areeligible. They should have been born notearlier than 2nd July, 1988 and not laterthan 1st July, 1994.The date of birth accepted by theCommission is that entered in theMatriculation or Secondary School LeavingCertificate or in a certificate recognised byan Indian University as equivalent toMatriculation or in an extract from a Registerof Matriculates maintained by a Universitywhich must be certified by the properauthority of the University or in the HigherSecondary or an equivalent examinationcertificate. These certificates are required tobe submitted only after the declaration ofthe result of the written part of theexamination. No other document relating toage like horoscopes, affidavits, birth extractsfrom Municipal Corporation, service recordsand the like will be accepted.The expression Matriculation/HigherSecondary Examination Certificate in thispart of the instruction includes the

All candidates whether already inGovernment Service including candidatesserving in the Armed Forces, Governmentowned industrial undertakings or othersimilar organizations or in privateemployment should submit theirapplications online direct to theCommission.
Persons already in Governmentservice, whether in permanent ortemporary capacity or as work chargedemployees other than casual or daily ratedemployees or those serving under thePublic Enterprises are, however, requiredto inform their Head of Office/Departmentin writing that they have applied for theExamination.
Candidates serving in the ArmedForces are required to inform theirCommanding Officer in writing that theyhave applied for this examination. They arealso required to submit NOC in this regardat the time of SSB interview.
Candidates should note that in case acommunication is received from theiremployer by the Commission withholdingpermission to the candidates applying for/appearing at the examination, theirapplications will be liable to be rejected/candidatures will be liable to be cancelled.NOTE :
APPLICATIONS WITHOUT THEPRESCRIBED FEE (UNLESS REMISSIONOF FEE IS CLAIMED AS IN PARA 4 ABOVE)OR INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS SHALLBE SUMMARILY REJECTED.No representation or correspondenceregarding such rejection shall be entertainedunder any circumstances. Candidates arenot required to submit alongwith theirapplications any certificate in support of theirclaims regarding age, educationalqualifications, Scheduled Caste/ScheduledTribe/OBC and fee remission etc.
The candidates applying for theexamination should ensure that they fulfilall the eligibility conditions for admissionto the examination.Their Admission at all the stages ofexamination for which they are admittedby the Commission viz. writtenexamination and Interview Test will bepurely provisional, subject to theirsatisfying the prescribed eligibilityconditions. If on verification at any timebefore or after the written examination orInterview Test, it is found that they do notfulfil any of the eligibility conditions, theircandidature for the examination will becancelled by the Commission.
Candidates are advised to keep ready thefollowing documents in original along withtheir attested copies soon after thedeclaration of the result of the written partof the examination which is likely to bedeclared in the month of
December, 2012
for submission to the Army HQ/Naval HQ/ Air HQ as the case may be :(1) Matric/Higher Secondary SchoolCertificate or its equivalent showing dateof birth. (2) Degree/Provisional degreecertificate/marks sheet showing clearlyhaving passed degree examination andeligible for award of degree.In the first instance all qualified candidateseligible for SSB interview will carry theiroriginal Matric/Higher Secondary Schoolcertificate as also their Degree/provisionalDegree certificate/marks sheet with themwhile going to the Services SelectionCentres for SSB interview. Candidates whohave not yet qualified the final year Degreeexamination must carry with them acertificate in original from the Principal of

the College/Institution stating that thecandidate has appeared/is appearing at thefinal year Degree examination. Candidateswho do not carry the above certificates withthem while going to the Services SelectionCentres shall not be allowed to appear forthe SSB interview. No relaxation for non-submission of the above certificates inoriginal at the selection centre is allowed,and candidates who do not carry with themany of these certificates in original will notbe permitted to appear for their SSB testand interview and they will be sent backhome at their own expense.If any of their claims is found to be incorrect/ false/fraud/fabricated they may renderthemselves liable to disciplinary action bythe Commission in terms of the followingprovisions :A candidate who is or has been declaredby the Commission to be guilty of:(i)obtaining support for his/hercandidature by any means, or(ii)impersonating, or(iii)procuring impersonation by anyperson, or(iv)submitting fabricated documents ordocuments which have beentampered with, or(v)making statements which areincorrect or false or suppressingmaterial information, or(vi) resorting to any other irregular orimproper means in connection with his/ her candidature for the examination, or(vii)using unfair means during theexamination, or(viii) writing irrelevant matter, includingobscene languages or pornographicmatter, in the script (s), or(ix)misbehaving in any other manner inthe examination hall, or(x)harassing or doing bodily harm to theStaff employed by the Commission forthe conduct of their examination, or(xi)being in possession of or using mobilephone, pager or any electronicequipment or device or any otherequipment capable of being used asa communication device during theexamination, or(xii)violating any of the instructionsissued to candidates along with theirAdmission Certificates permittingthem to take the examination, or(xiii)attempting to commit or as the casemay be abetting the commission ofall or any of the acts specified in theforegoing clauses,may in addition to rendering himself/ herself liable to criminal prosecutionbe liable(a)to be disqualified by theCommission from the examinationfor which he/she is a candidateand/or(b)to be debarred either permanentlyor for a specified period(i)by the Commission from anyexamination or selection heldby them;(ii)by the Central Governmentfrom any employment underthem; and(c)if he/she is already in serviceunder Government to disciplinaryaction under the appropriate rules.Provided that no penalty under this ruleshall be imposed except after,(i)giving the candidate an opportunity ofmaking such representation, in writingas he/she may wish to make in thatbehalf; and(ii)taking the representation, if any,submitted by the candidate within theperiod allowed to him/her intoconsideration.

The Commission will not enter into anycorrespondence with the candidates abouttheir candidature except in the followingcases:
(i)The eligible candidates shall beissued an e-Admission Certificatethree weeks before thecommencement of the examination.The e-Admission Certificate will bemade available in the UPSC website[www.upsc.gov.in] for downloadingby candidates. No AdmissionCertificate will be sent by post.
If a candidate does not receive his/her e-Admission Certificate or anyother communication regarding his/her candidature for the examinationthree weeks before thecommencement of the examination,he/she should at once contact theCommission.
Information in thisregard can also be obtained from theFacilitation Counter located in theCommission’s Office either in personor over phone Nos.
Incase no communication is receivedin the Commission’s Office from thecandidate regarding non-receipt ofhis/ her e-admission certificate atleast 3 weeks before theexamination, he/she himself/herselfwill be solely responsible for non-receipt of his/her e-admissionCertificate.
No candidate will ordinarily be allowedto take the examination unless he/sheholds an e-admission certificate for theexamination. On receipt of AdmissionCertificate, check it carefully and bringdiscrepancies/errors, if any, to thenotice of UPSC immediately.The courses to which the candidatesare admitted will be according to theireligibility as per age and educationalqualifications for different coursesand the preferences given by thecandidates.
The candidates should note thattheir admission to the examinationwill be purely provisional based onthe information given by them in theApplication Form. This will besubject to verification of all theeligibility conditions.
(iii)If a candidate receives an e-admission certificate in respect ofsome other candidate on account ofhandling error, the same should beimmediately brought to the notice ofthe Commission with a request toissue the correct e-admissioncertificate. Candidates may note thatthey will not be allowed to take theexamination on the strength of an e-admission certificate issued inrespect of another candidate.(iv)The decision of the Commission asto the acceptance of the applicationof a candidate and his/her eligibilityor otherwise for admission to theExamination shall be final.(v)Candidates should note that the namein the e-admission certificate in somecases, may be abbreviated due totechnical reasons.(vi)

Original certificates submission of–
Those candidates who qualify in the SSBinterview will be required to submit theiroriginal certificates alongwith two attestedcopies thereof in support of educationalqualification at Services Selection Centreafter SSB interview. Those appearing forDegree Examination will be required tosubmit their certificates by
13th May, 2013,(1st August, 2013
in the case of SSC only).Instructions for the same will be given atSSB. Original certificates will be returnedafter verification. Certified true copies orphotostat copies of the certificates will notbe accepted in any case.
The Union Public Service Commission shallprepare a list of candidates who obtain theminimum qualifying marks in the writtenexamination as fixed by the Commission intheir discretion. Candidates who aredeclared successful in the written exam willbe detailed for intelligence and personalitytest at the Service Selection Board basedon their preference, by the respective serviceHQ. Results of the test conducted by ServiceSelection Board will hold good for all thecourses (i.e. Indian Military Academy (DE)Course, Dehradun, Indian Naval Academy,Ezhimala Course, Air Force Academy (Pre-Flying) Course, Hyderabad and SSC (NT)Course at OTA, Chennai) for which thecandidate has qualified in the written exam,irrespective of the service HQ conducting it.Two-stage selection procedure based onPsychological Aptitude Test and IntelligenceTest has been introduced at Service SelectionBoards. All the candidates will be put to stageone test on first day of reporting at SelectionCentres. Only those candidates who qualifyat stage one will be admitted to the secondstage/remaining tests and all those who failto pass stage one, will be returned. Onlythose candidates who qualify at stage twowill be required to submit photocopy eachof:- (i) Matriculation pass certificate orequivalent in support of date of birth. (ii)Bachelors Degree/Provisional Degreealongwith mark sheets of all the years/ semesters in support of educationalqualification.Candidates will appear before the ServicesSelection Board and undergo the test thereat their own risk and will not be entitled toclaim any compensation or other relief fromGovernment in respect of any injury whichthey may sustain in the course of or as aresult of any of the tests given to them at theServices Selection Board whether due tothe negligence of any person or otherwise.Candidates will be required to sign acertificate to this effect on the formappended to the application.To be acceptable, candidates should securethe minimum qualifying marks separately in(i) written examination and (ii) SSB test as fixedby the Commission and Service SelectionBoard respectively in their discretion. Thecandidates will be placed in the order of meriton the basis of the total marks secured by themin the written examination and in the S.S.B.tests. The form and manner of communicationof the result of the examination to individualcandidates shall be decided by theCommission in their discretion and theCommission will not enter into correspondencewith them regarding the result.Success at the examination confers no rightof admission to the Indian Military Academy,Indian Naval Academy, Air Force Academyor the Officers’ Training Academy as thecase may be. The final selection will bemade in order of merit subject to medicalfitness and suitability in all other respectsand number of vacancies available.
NOTE: Every candidate for the Air Forceand Naval Aviation is given Pilot AptitudeTest only once. The Grade secured byhim at the first test will therefore holdgood for every subsequent interview atthe Air Force Selection Board. Those whohave failed Indian Navy Selection Board/Pilot Aptitude Battery Test earlier andthose who habitually wear spectacles arenot eligible for Air Force.
