A question of soundThis is a listening experience, here and now – right this second.Right here.How do we describe this kind of experience? How do I give aclear and comprehensible impression of how I perceive our jointlistening experience and how can you do the same for yourexperience? We don't know how someone else hears, perceives,evaluates or experiences a given situation.
One
situation entails asmany different listening experiences as there are listeners.Individuals.We ask ourselves: Do we like this situation? Is this experiencepleasant or helpful? Would we prefer to intervene, change thenature of what we hear and significantly alter our soundenvironment? Perhaps a temporary intervention like a shortsignal or a more permanent alteration with lasting effect?Electromechanical playbacks, architectonic adjustments, decorativeadditions? Socially catalyzing actions? What would a concept forredesigning this room, this listening situation, entail?And again the question: how can we meaningfully explain otherindividuals' acoustic concepts? What do we lack technical,
