No prosecutions came out of it. It was quickly covered up and faded into the fog of history.

It's horrific, the temptation of easy money, the exploitation of the young and innocent. It should be eradicated or at least fought against and decreased as much as possible - accept my condolences for your tragic loss though it was long ago.

drugs promises easy escapism and also wealth, from a world full of problems, the deep root of the problems is knowing that you must faced the world as it is there is no quick fix thingy.....

I agree with you that the portrayal of drug dealers as glamorous and exotic in the media is heinous and wholly untrue. It fetishizes a culture that it cruel, brutal and ugly; though I am not sure if drugs can be evr be eradicated completely.
