The Diocese of Des Moines is sponsoring an Independence Celebration Walk and Picnic. Come join us when we begin the walk at noon at St. Ambrose Cathedral, 6th Avenue and High Street, in downtown Des Moines. We'll walk to the east lawn of the Capitol for a picnic in celebration of our religious liberty. Hear music, speakers and be a part of the ecumenical prayer service. Can't make the walk? Join us at the Capitol east lawn for the picnic. Ample parking is available.
