The Diocese of Des Moines is sponsoring an Independence Celebration Walk and Picnic. Come join us when we begin the walk at noon at St. Ambrose Cathedral, 6th Avenue and High Street, in downtown Des Moines. We'll walk to the east lawn of the Capitol for a picnic in celebration of our religious liberty. Hear music, speakers and be a part of the ecumenical prayer service. Can't make the walk? Join us at the Capitol east lawn for the picnic. Ample parking is available.

SACRED HEART CHARITON

Tithes- $1176 A special thanks to all those who helped make our Corpus Christi procession a great success. Women of Sacred Heart will meet on Thursday, June 21 at 6:30 p.m. Katie Schultz will talk about her experience in Italy. Solemnity of St. Peter and Paul is June 29. There will be a Mass and a potluck afterwards to celebrate. Lost and Found- A pair of glasses have been found on the church grounds. They can be retrieved in the church office.

SAINT BRENDAN LEON

Tithes- $689 Totus Tuus "Totally Yours" summer youth program will be July 15-20. This is a great opportunity for your child to have a fun and faith filled week learning about the Catholic faith. This years theme is "The Creed of Our Faith" and also the Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary. If you have not signed your child up, please contact Sandy Kunze (641-344-1797). First through eighth grade students will participate from 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. Snacks and lunch will be provided. Totus Tuus for the High School youth is for youth going into 9th grade through college. They will begin July 15th and run through July 19th and it will be from 8:00-10:00 p.m. The cost is $10/student or max. of $20/family.
