FACT:
Bright colors are warningsigns. It warns other animals that itis poisonous to eat. One dropcould kill a monkey.

Local peopleused to put frog poison on the tipsof their hunting arrows. That's howthe frogs got their names.

Tropical rainforests
FACT:
When they are notmarching, they live in nests on theground.
 THAT'S AMAZING:
Army antssometimes raid people's homes.But tis can be useful because theants eat up the insect pests.

HOWLER MONKEY

Tropical rainforests
FACT:
They feed on leaves, fruitsand flowers in the treetops.

Howler monkeys have long, strong tailswhich they use to grip on the treebranches as they are feeding.
 
MARINE IGUANA

Rocky coasts
FACT:
When feeding, marineiguanas can stay underwater for up to an hour and a half.
 THAT'S AMAZING:
Marine iguanasoften sneeze to get rid of salt fromtheir noses. They take in salty seawater as they feed, and toomuch salt in their bodies can killthem.

An anteater mainly usessmell to find its prey.

An anteater can flick its tongue in and out asmany as 150 times a minute.
 
PIRANHA

Slow moving rivers andstreams
FACT:
Piranha's teeth is triangular and sit close together on itsmouth. At dusk and dawn largeshoals of piranhas gather to waitfor prey.
 THAT'S AMAZING:
Some kind ofpiranhas are vegetarians. Theyuse their sharp teeth to crack nutswhich fall in the water.
