An Oracle White Paper October 2007

Purpose The purpose of this whitepaper is to assist the customer in making a field on an iProcurement page rendered or unrendered through the personalizations list.

Basic Personalizations

To be able to do any personalizations, ensure that the personalizations profile option is set to Yes either for the User or at Site level: (N) System Administrator > Profile > System Query: Personalize Self-Service Defn

Once this is done the user will be able to see the Personalize links throughout web apps.

Basic Personalizations

In purpose of this document, we will conduct two basic actions: 1. Render (show) or Unrender (Hide) a section. 2. Render or Unrender a column in a section. Unrender a whole section from the iProcurement Home Page For this example, we will unrender the My Requisitions section.

Click on Personalize Table Layout: (ShoppingHome TableLayout).

Basic Personalizations

From clicking the link Personalize Table Layout: (ShoppingHome TableLayout) we see the section Default Single Column: My Requisitions.

The column Shown tells us what we can currently see on our home page. Click the Pencil image under the Personalize column.

We want to Unrender or Hide the entire section of My Requisitions at the site level. Click on the pulldown menu in the column site. We see 4 options: inherit, true, false, SPEL. We only need to deal with 3 of the 4 options. 1. inherit takes on the value listed in the Original Definition column 2. true render the item being personalized 3. false unrender the item being personalized In this case we want to Unrender the entire section: select false. Then click Apply. Notice that the column Shown is now blank.

Basic Personalizations

Next, click on Return to Application and we can see the section My Requisitions is now gone.

Basic Personalizations

Unrender a column in a section For this example, we will unrender the Copy column in the My Requisitions section.

We can see two spots with Copy on them: 1. Flow Layout: Copy 2. Image: Copy The Flow Layout: Copy row is the actual column that is in the My Requisitions section. The Image: Copy is the clickable image found in the Copy column on the home page.

Basic Personalizations

To remove the entire column from the My Requisitions section, click on the Pencil in the Personalize column for the Flow Layout: Copy row.
