According to the Centers for Disease Control, in the last 20 years the percent of children overweight has doubled and the percent of adolescents overweight has tripled. As a result, there is a growing number of Americans concerned about their health and signing up for fitness club memberships. Some of the companies in the fitness industry are business-to-business (B2B) players and some are business-to-consumer (B2C), selling directly to consumers as opposed to other businesses. However, whether in fitness or any other industry, the marketing approaches used by a B2B player are quite different from that of a B2C organization
