Yookoso! Many in the middle east believe that the United States of Americagovernment is selfish, hypocrite, and cynical. And these many win adeptsby just letting the USA show its whirl support for the anti-Syriangovernment blokes.
Not long ago I wrote a piece about how thewest is polishing its arms to targetIran. Now, under heavy pressure from my two readers, I have to admit that Ifailed to see that Syria is not off target. But a target too.The USA newspaper The Washington Post invokes“Time for US leadership inSyria.”And since TWP is a known and trustworthy newspaper we may consider its statement a signal that the USA military plans for an invasion of Syria. Then the plan seems ever more real when the USA Today reports,“the Obamaadministration is preparing a plan that would essentially give U.S. nods of approval to arms transfers from Arab nations to some Syrian opposition fighters.”Few years ago the former USA president George Bush brought the help of  Assad’s father to the Desert Storm that liberated Kuwait. And Syria participatedwith several thousands troops, and in gratitude the USA helped it chat with Israel. And lets not forget that for years the USA have permitted either Bashar Assad or his father, Hafez Assad, to rule Syria. And its government was always considereda friendly regime, not a rogue one.But that ended in Houla. Since theHoula killing, that President Assad has emphatically condemned, the USA is pushing him to go the way of other fallentyrants. Or, which is the same, hide in a hole and wait until the mob finds him andshoots him.So what it is that the Americans are up to? The oft-repeated cliche worksperfectly here: follow the money. What Syria has and maybe of interest to the Americans is oil, and with the prices ever rising it’s reasonable to consider thehunger for oil a possibility for the change of mind toward the Syrian leaders. America’s rhetoric is a clear push to hang responsibility for the killing and theinsurrection in Syrian soil on the government of president Assad. And to let theworld know that the rebels — also known as the Muslim Brotherhood— are abunch of innocent souls that just want to impose an Islamist state in Syria.Nothing out of the ordinary. As expected. The USA is yet again turning its ‘national interests’ into a one-side
