West End
her ceiling’s faces
consort against her. This deaf woman, wired well, listens whilea young manclaws the banister
 stumbles tohis own dark door.Woman
 naked beneathyour housecoat
mothermy city.Make way
 weave with me
 beneath your ripplingsheets
fireover fire
 —blaze’s ease—
roaring with each snortof crisp airuntil dusk
at day’s end.
Cows teach docilityand I left themin their fields
what you teach isnot taught but engulfedand gulped.I want to reach
 but can’t touch.
Harems of shadowslinger under your eyes.Whatdid I come hereto find? Youand your wombburst crazylike a star
