As part of the Land-scape and Nursery TechnologyProgram at Southwestern Col-lege, the garden continues to bea learning facility for studentspursuing degrees in the horticul-tural fields. Don't be surprisedto see a group of studentsworking on the garden or learn-ing a horticultural skill.Visitors can see how to grow andprune productive fruit trees forsmall back yards, find out whatplants are the best for water-conserving landscapes, get ideasfor paving and hardscapefeatures, and take a look at ourtropical, cacti and succulent, andground cover collections.T
he garden is a NationalWildlife Federation approvedsanctuary! Don't be sur-prised to see some hawks orowls nesting in the trees.
As the only botanic garden in theSouth Bay, we host onsite work-shops pertaining to horticulture(plants), aquaculture (fish),vermiculture (worms) and manymore gardening interests.LOCATION:
