Withdrawal from Treaty
 Joseph Racette was born December 29, 1859, the son of Jean Baptiste dit Des CrocheRacette and Euphrosine Versailles. Jean Baptiste was the son of George Racette (b. 1800)and Francoise Guilbeau. This was a buffalo hunting family with children born at whiteMud River, Lebret, and Cypress Hills. Euphrosine was born c. 1834,

the daughter of Pierre Versailles (b. 1801) and Josephte Letendre. Joseph was a member of CowessessBand, but withdrew from Treaty in 1892. Their daughter Rose, withdrew in 1893, seeattachment.Joseph married Sarah Jane Jocko, the daughter of Jacob Jocko and Angelique McMillancirca 1886. He died in 1926 at Choteau, Montana.
