Invincible

I will never give in, no matter

what

For as long as I live, a fire will always

remain

At my innermost being
It is all that is alive in me, this spiralling
unconquerable

Essence

That sings from the heart, my deepest

most absolute truth
And draws me to life with every curl
and lick of its flame

I cannot help myself

Here are the lines gouged deep
in the soil

Marked by my heel

And here I hold firm, constant

and alert
Charged in this invincible light

I know no other way

It is how I draw strength on this complicated
Earth

It is how I endure

Where it will lead is anyone's guess

but I know this

I will remain here alone if I have to

 Holding my ground, fighting
to the bitter end

Defiant and unbowed, like the Sun burning

through mist

I will never be broken

 It is all I can do, there is nothing
to hide

It is how I am made

The blood spinning wildly through all of my

ginnels and veins
 Keeping me warm and alive
