Creating an expanded CVB -.With a population of 49,000, Enid is the 9th-largest city in the state, and city leaders saw not only was Enid one of the few who did not have a CVB, many smaller cities did. In October, 2010, the Enid City Commission approved the funding for a dedicated Convention & Visitors Bureau, hiring Global Spectrum to oversee the management of the organization. The Enid CVB opened its doors November 1, 2010, with its main goal to bring more visitors to town and boost the citys sales tax revenue. Developing Enid Visitor Guide - One of the rst tasks the ECVB took on was to develop a marketing piece on Enid focused solely on the potential visitor. This was completed in March, 2011, when 35,000 Enid Visitor Guides were printed. They were immediately distributed locally and throughout the region with the help of the Oklahoma Tourism & Recreation Department (OTRD) fulllment program and a company that put the guides in hotel lobbies and attractions throughout Oklahoma and southern Kansas.
