Monday & Wednesday:
8:30am and 10:00am
Hard of face and obstinate of heart are they to whom I am sending you. (Ezekiel 2:4)
Therefore, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and constraints, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak, then I am strong. (1 Corinthians 12:10)
And they took offense at him.
Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his native placeand among his own kin and in his own house.”
do Ezekiel and Paul encounter and speak about human weakness?
How does the human spirit live with human weakness
by conquering or accepting?
How does accepting weakness become strength?
If human weakness is inevitable how does Jesus, the disciples and prophets neutralize its effect on humans? Thus I use up my life in the desire for pleasures, and the thirst for experiences, for power, honor, knowledge, andlove, to cloth this false self and construct this nothingness into something that is real. And I wind experiencesaround myself and cover myself with pleasures and glory like bandages in order to make myself perceptible tomyself and to the world, as if I were an invisible body that could only become visible when something visiblecovered its surface. But there is no substance under the things with which I am clothed. I am hollow, and mystructure of ambitions has no foundation.
