The current Executive members(Kim Richter, Cathleen Vecchiato, Joe Zaccaria, and Bob Richter) will serve in their designatedpositions for the next two years. The membership as a whole will need to adopt a set of Bylawsat the annual general meeting this fall which will set out Board structure, quorum, terms of officeand election procedures. The group discussed the need to fill several other suggested BoardExecutive positions (Schedule B attached) and to lead subcommittees to explore differentissues of Chapter interest. Several people expressed possible interest in differentpositions/committees as follows:- Kathy Reddington: Committee to L
iaise with Existing Seniors’ Services
- Alan Carpenter, Petrina Arnason, Leo Mitrunen: Housing Committee- Al Peterson: Events Committee- Patricia Tallman: Langley Township Coordinator- Evan Brett: Langley City Coordinator- Kay Holtz: Healthy Aging- Jodi Marsh: SecretaryThere was considerable discussion about the best size and structure for the Board. The groupdecided to wait until draft Bylaws were prepared before finalizing any Board structure oradditional Board positions. The general preference was to structure the Board around atraditional Executive Committee and Members-At-Large Directors with specific responsibility forvarious subcommittees.
