K:
I
think
pretty
well.
Z:
The
wires
are
moving,
I
think
well.
K:
I
tried
to
give
a
summary
of
the
year's
events.
Z:
Yes.
K:
And
I
think
I
did
it
in
a
rather
positiveway.
Z:
Did
you
say
you
were
coming
out'?
K:
I
will
probably
come
out
on
Sat.
or
Sun.
Z:
O.
K.
.
I
amkeeping
it
very
loose
so
no
one
knows
exactly
whenyou
are
coming
if
you
are
coming
commercial.
K:
The
Presidentsaid
hewanted
you
tosay
I
wascoming
out.
Z:
I
told
them
you
were
coming
out
but
I
will
not
say
the
day.
I
said
sometime
soon
soif
you
fly
commercial
you
should
go
low
key
and
privately.
We
are
not
going
to
givethe
date
or
time
or
anything
in
terms
of
your
departure.
K:
Whendo
you
think
he&coming
back/
Z:
He
said
he
is
staying
through
the
first
but
we
don't
know.
K:
I
may
come
onSunday
and
leave
on
Thursday
whttther
or
not
he
leaves.
Z:
Don't
tell
anyone
that
.
Don't
let
your
office
know.
K:
I
won't
tell
my
office.
Z:
I
was
just
advised
that
the
NY
Times
is
moping
anj
advisory
to
their
clients
which
says
theyhave
negotiated
for
a
manuscript
that
when
published
due
to
its
sensitive
nature
--
a
storyof
sensitive
nature,
so
sensitive
it
must
remain
confidential
at
thistime
and
when
published
willhave
world-wide
repercussions
and
the
manuscript
itself
was
written
by
a
prominent
person
andthey
say
it
could
appear
as
early
as
Sat.
in
their
advisory
in
a
3-part
series.
That
is
all
I
know.
It
may
not
be
anytliina
at
all
but
there

two
things
that
worry
me
in
the
advisory
and
that
is
ihe
historic
portion,
sensitive
nature
and
world-wide
repercussion.
K:
What
would
youthink
it
could
be?
Z:
I
don't
know.
I
called
Clifton
Daniel.
I
told
him
that
I
was
calling
on
an
informal
basis
and
said
we
had
been
informed
of
the
advisory.
I
said
there
were
two
words
inthe
advisory
running
at
this
time
that
concerned
me.
I
said
I
recognized
it
m
ight
be
a
sales
pitch
on
the
part
of
the
NY
Times
news
service
but
VPI
has
also
picked
this
up
which
is
an
extraordinary
act
for
UPI
to
advise
their
subscribers
of
this
particular
series
which
they
say
th
are
going
to
run
also
and
they
are
going
to
charge
their
clients
additional
money
for
it.
I
know
it
does
mot
mean
anything
to
you
but
in
the
newspaper
!business
itis
extraordinary
.
This
is
the
way
the
Stalin
daughter
story
broke.
K:
Yes.
Z:
I
saidto
Clifton,
"Look
you
know
anything
about
it
and
he
said
no.
"I
said
we
are
both
talking
then
from
a
point
of
no
knowledge.
I
said
it
wss
an
informal
call
but
all
I
can
say
is
I
do
know
we
are
involved
in
a
very
delicate
diplomatic
period.
K:
You
can
bet.
Z:
To
put
it
mildly
and
I
said
it
seems
to
me
if
the
NY
Times
is
going
to
break
a
story
of
a
sensitive
and
historic
nature
that
willhaveworld-wide
repercussinns
end
as
the
advisory
says
would
make
headlines
around
the
world,
if
ik
has
anythingwith
a
potential
effect
on
our
diplomacy,that
the
NY
Times
shouldnotify
the
Govt
before
it
breaks,
you
see.
K:
Yes,
butthey
won't
do
it.
Z:
I
think
it
is
a
reasonable
thing
to
raise,
just
to
be
on
the
record,
don't
you'y
K:
Absolutely.
Z:
He
is
going
to
call
me
backin
half
and
hour.
K:
Will
you
let
me
know.
Z:
Yes.
Don't
you
think
it
reasonable
to
ratsef
K:
It
is
essential.
