When I was researching about Financial Instruments and how we invented them I was amazed how longago we created these systems of exchange after barter was deemed as too local to be useful to the
 ‘brave new world’.
 1171 Bonds were invented in Venice. They offered investors a fixed interest and payment dates1602 Stock Exchange was invented in New York 1685 Wall St was invented to be a trading place for Stocks, Bonds and Commodities1693 Government Bonds were invented in London to finance infrastructure projects like roads andbridges1884 Dow was invented in New York originally a list of Stocks available to purchase and pinned todoors1971 NASDAQ was invented as the first electronic stock 
exchange on Feb 8th (President Lincoln’s
