The Order of David
By Prophet Lauro Adame2 Chronicles 8:14
“ And he appointed, according to
the order of David
his father, the courses of the priests totheir service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the priests, as theduty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David theman of God commanded.”
In the topic of Faith and the walking in it, we always refer to Abraham as the “Father of Faith, and we glean truth, principles, and faith steps, from his life on how we are to walk and pursuethe Lord by faith, as well as many other lives of the patriarchs. (Hebrews 11)But when it comes to worship it is David and his life that sets the Order of worship for us. Heis, I believe for all believers the “Father of Worship.” And we see in the above scripture that hisown son Solomon followed the same order and pattern that David laid out in the tabernacle withSolomon implementing the same order into the Temple worship.
• King Jehoshaphat used the same order of worship, when the Lord set ambushments againsttheir enemies. (2Chron. 20)• King Hezekiah when he restored the temple, he set the Order of Davidic worship back into thetemple. (2Chron. 29:25-28)• King Josiah restored the Ark of the Lord, and Passover and set the priest in the Order of Davidic worship. (2Chron. 35:1-18)• Ezra set the Order of Davidic worship at the laying of the foundation of the restored templeafter captivity. (Ezra 3:10, 11)• Nehemiah set the Order of Davidic worship at the dedication of the walls. (Neh. 12:27, 36, 45)In this next move of God it will be a generation of kingly believers with the spirit of Solomon thatwill implement the same Order of Davidic worship that will release extravagant worship to theLord and He, Himself will answer it with the Fire of His Presence and Glory. (2Chron. 5:14-6:1;7:1-3)
15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my nameis called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.
18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles areturned to God:
The answer to the question is made pretty obvious by the scripture above; the body of Christthat is made up of Jew and Gentile are the Tabernacle that God inhabits. (Galatians 3:28; Eph.2:11-22; John 10:15-17)
20 Look upon Zion, the city of our solemnities: thine eyes shall see Jerusalem a quiet habitation,
a tabernacle that shall not be taken down
; not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken.
The Tabernacle of David is to be established in the local church which is Zion.Zion is:• The place where the nations gather. (Is. 2:3)• The place where the Glory of the Lord is reveled. Amos 9:11
11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breachesthereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this.13 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and thetreader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all thehills shall melt.14 And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the wastecities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.15 And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.
