Social and culture of indonesia
Indonesia is rich in art and culture which are intertwinedwith religion and age-old traditions from the time of earlymigrants with Western thoughts brought by Portuguese
traders and Dutch colonists.

The
Culture of Indonesia
has been shaped bylong interaction between original indigenous customs and
multiple foreign influences. Indonesia is centrally-located along
ancient trading routes between the Far East and the MiddleEast, resulting in many cultural practices being stronglyinfluenced by a multitude of religions,
including Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism and Islam, all
strong in the major trading cities. The result is a complexcultural mixture very different from the original indigenouscultures.
