REPORT FROM THE COMENIUS MEETING IN SLOVAKIA HELD BETWEEN 20/11/2011 AND 25/11 /2011 Between 20th November

and 25th November 2011 our school (ZKLADN KOLA) in Trnav a, Slovakia organized Comenius Project Meeting. We hosted schools from six count ries Romania, Hungary, England, Croatia, Spain and Greece. Altogether we were pl eased to welcome 12 teachers and 13 students. All teachers were accomodated at t he Hotel Premier and all students stayed with host families. The meeting officially started on Sunday 20th, when all the partners were c ollected from places of their arrivals (Airport Vienna, Bratislava train station and Trnava train station). Then they were taken to their hotel and families. On Monday 21st project partners visited our school, where they were shown a program prepared by our pupils. They were also shown around the school. Then la ter on we took the partners to visid Red Stone Castle near Trnava. After visiting the castle we returned to school again and each school prese nted their works. The topic for our works for this meeting was Water as a way of relaxing. Participants could prepare booklets, brochures, PowerPoint presentation s or drawings. We could watch many interesting works presented also by students present at the meeting. Then we had dinner at our school canteen and could watch artistic programme of the folk group painanka that was dancing and singing our national songs and dance s for our guests. The next day Tuesday we all were welcomed by the vice-mayor of Trnava in th e Town Hall. We could hear a brief history of Trnava and our guests got small pr esents from the Town. After that we took the partners on a guided visit of Trnav a centre. After lunch we travelled to the town of Pieany, where we could take a sa iling trip on the River Vh. On Wednesday 23rd we visited the theatre of Andrej Bagar in the town of Nit ra, where we watched a historical play. Then we had lunch and we travelled to th e town of Galanta, where we visited the aquapark Galandia. In the evening we mov ed to the Relax Club where we had dinner and disco. Thursday 24th was a day when we travelled to our capital city Bratislava. T here we took a guided tour around the city and we had some free time for shoppin g there. On Friday 25th we accompanied our partners to Bratislava train station and to the Vienna airport as this was the last day of our project meeting. All tasks which were to be done at this meeting were fulfilled. All foreign participants were given a cerification confirming their attendance at the meeti ng.
