ARRIVAL:
The driver will be waiting at the airport holding a card with your name/names. Usually, thisperson is PAUL

he is very nice, drives carefully and shows you a couple of nice places on theway to the clinic (about 25mins drive). He speaks English and you can keep his number to callhim for any private trips to the centre or similar.Paul will take you to the reception of the rooms above the clinic. If your flight arrives before19:30, the personal assistant will meet you in your room and give you the information pack(instructions, programme and practical info). If your arrival is scheduled later than this, you willreceive the same information at the reception at your arrival.Red arrow: apartments and doubleroomsGreen arrow: OB clinic entrance
THE DAY OF THE OPERATION:
In the morning, please have a showerand wash your hair. Please, rememberthat you cannot eat or drink anythingnow.At 7am, you will meet your PA at theclinic reception. The receptionists willmake a copy of your passport andprepare your patient´s card. You willalso receive all the forms you need tofill: simplified medical questionnaire,anaesthesia informed consent andconsent form for the surgery with theterms and conditions.
Nurses will take blood and urine testsand check ECG.Then, according to the clinicprogramme, you will go through theseconsultations (order subject tochanges):BARIATRIC CONSULTATION:with a bariatric surgeon

normallyProfessor Fried (who will perform thesurgery) or his colleague Dr KarinDolezalova (who will be present andtake part in the surgery)INTERNIST: she will check the generalstate of health.PSYCHOLOGIST: she will help with anypsychological aspects related to youreating habitsAfter these consultations and tests, youwill go to the reception and pay thebalance of the treatment price. Your PAwill take you to your room where thenurses will take over the care. They willalso accompany you to the lastconsultation with the gastroenterologist.
