No need for pardon Haim. Honesty is a gift between friends. Pain plays a big part in some of the issues with friends. But here in the US, people don't "do" death and grief well. After the requisite 3 months of mourning, many friends think that should suffice. For some of us maybe it is enough. But I think many of us have to sort through just what they are really mourning before they can move past it.

If we take the time to step back and try and understand what a grieving friend is going through, we then become an integral part of healing.
