Having read just a few paragraphs of what sounded really interesting, I was sad to see it so loaded with value ridden Christian phrases of the 19th century. It really spoils what should have been great reading. It is the sort of thinking that is responsible in a large way for what is happening in the world today. I am far more interested in an objective view of the past, which does not make the Christian (or any) religion it's anchor point. Surely we have matured past this sort of naive thinking. Sigh!
