scribbled: Here's a suggestion, A friend forward an email to me. It read, Congress should duplicate what corporations do when they are cash strapped. That is, they need to please the stakeholders, so they downsize. The suggestion is, congress should be downsized to half of their current strength. The logic here is, cut half of the congress out should equate to cutting half the pork out. Couple that with the saving in salary and retirements we should do well. The email also suggested that congresspersons should retire only after 30 years of service. We by the way are the stakeholders.
