Dear Scribd, Thank you for a wonderful service. The other day, I submitted a new book of mine, "MindGames". At no time during the submission process was I prompted to set the permissions and licences. I didn't even know I had to do it to enable downloads. As a result, almost 1000 users were unable to download my book. Many of them were very furious and posted comments accordingly: http://www.scribd.com/doc/12179618/Mi... This makes me very sad. I missed a golden opportunity to have my book read owing to a faulty design of the process of uploading. A wee suggestion: Immediately after a file is uploaded, alert the user thus: "To make your file available for download, click on the Edit button and then on Permission and Licences and select the relevant options."
