Manovich appears to believe there is a difference in visual acuity, or how one interprets the picture that appears to the images his mind interprets. Vision has always been the same, the only thing that is ever changing is our instrumentation, allowing us to see farther and closer, Our understanding of the magnitudes of scale are what creates more questions than answers
