Not sure what you two are talking about with garlic and onions being bad for cats. I had a cat that loved raw onions and garlic is known to help kill parasites in cats intestines. As for milk, yes it can cause diarrhea but a small amount mixed in with food shouldn't be a problem. Of course everything in moderation.
