Grizzly Man Film Review |
I want to know what they did with the rest his footage? He shot over 100 hours and we only see a fraction of that in the film. They seem to serve only to portray him as a little bit crazy, and maybe he was, but surely the film does do justice to the amount of footage he got? I think he might have been a bit dissapointed that all his footage on the Bears ended up being more about him, I don't know... |

Wow guys! Some interesting thoughts. I\'m not entirely sure how Jesus and the bible forms apart of what your trying to achieve here. I understand that Jesus as a sign is being redefined and placed and that the Bible should be read in the context from which it was concieved. But how does one go about creating a postmodern perspective through reading an ancient text in its orginal context and arrive at a contemporary meaning or faith? Surely the faith suggested here is in the validity of the Bible rather than in its postmodern appreciation? The \'Church\' has engraved certain assumptions regarding the practices of religion and its inception has become adapted in various context. This religious dogma emerged because of the authorterian nature of its preeching and the range of possible interpretations that are acceptable. In this sense I agree that the fundamentalism ascribed to textual interpretations is flawed. But if the idea/notion/sign/significance of Jesus is understood to be recreated it surely can only be done based on the Bible -otherwise it is connected to something other than the Bible? If Jesus is viewed as a point of departure, in the spirtual sense, then the collect... |
