FCC Booth At Parade Armed Forces Day Parade Saturday, May 17, 11:00 a.m.- 2:30 p.m.
This was such a huge success last year that we wanted to do it again. Our Membership Committee will be in charge this year, selling hot dogs and drinks before, during and after the Armed Forces Day Parade. The booth will be located on our front lawn on the corner of Maple & El Dorado. This is a great opportunity for the church to become more present in the community. In addition to the food, we will be providing parade goers information about our church and our upcoming summer events. As with all good events, w

Blended Service
Sunday, April 6, 10:00 a.m.
It is time to come together once again and enjoy a Blended Service. There has been so much positive feedback on this and on April 6th there will indeed be reason to worship and rejoice together. So, who doesn’t know Ted Oden? Well if there is even one of you who doesn’t, then for sure you will want to come, and for those of us who do, well, we wouldn’t miss this for the world. You see, this is the day that after much study, prayer, and service, Ted will be installed as our Minister of Contemporary Worship here at FCC Torrance. The installation

Torrance First Christian Church will hear the sounds of a new choral work on March 20th, Maundy Thursday; called “Soldier of God.” The work is written by TFCC choir director Ken Potter. It was written in Denver over the Christmas holidays in a matter of four days. The piece is written from the viewpoint of the Roman Centurion who was responsible for the execution of Jesus. The role of Jesus will be sung by longtime friend Bob Hartley and the role of Maximus will be sung by J. Friedman, who narrated the last two cantatas that Ken wrote for the church. Here is a brief synopsis of the work:
