The Legacy of President George W. Bush By Matthew Elton Copyright 2008 Matthew Elton In the 2000 presidential election, Republican candidate George W. Bush spoke of lower taxes, smaller government, and “a more humble foreign policy” with “no nation building”. Unfortunately, he failed to live up to even his own expectations, let alone the expectations of others. According to former President Jimmy Carter, Bush’s presidency is the “worst in history”. It seems that in his seven years in office, Bush has done everything in his power to prove Carter right. Although more voters voted for Al Gore, Ge

In Europe, slowing down and socializing over coffee at a local coffee shop is an age-old tradition. In the United States, large cities that are influenced by European immigrants have become hotspots of coffee culture, as have college towns and resorts like the Berkshires.
Question:
Is it Biblical to make vows? I'm trying to follow God with my life, and this has been a point of confusion for awhile. Matthew 5 and James 5 pretty specifically reject the idea of taking oaths, but we are commanded in Psalm 76 to make vows. Matthew 5:33-37 33 “You have also heard that our ancestors were told, ‘You must not break your vows; you must carry out the vows you make to the Lord.’ 34 But I say, do not make any vows! Do not say, ‘By heaven!’ because heaven is God’s throne. 35 And do not say, ‘By the earth!’ because the earth is his footstool. And do not say, ‘By Jerusalem!’ f

The Secret Name of God By Athol Dickson
Thursday, March 27, 2008

I am still amazed by something a friend emailed to me yesterday, a quote from a
devotional called Behold and Be Held, the Memorial Name of God, by Aaron Rabin. I can't find this devotional on the web, or I would link to it. I won't quote the whole thing here, lest I infringe on Mr. Rabin's copyright. So I'll just get to the bottom line. In the devotional, Mr. Rabin refers to the tetragrammaton, YHVH. This is the most holy name of God, given to Moses at the burning bush, the one that most English translations render as “I AM”

by Samuel M. Ohmart Why Facts about Hell? Because there is much teaching about Hell that is not fact but dishonoring superstition, conceived in ignorance, and taught as truth by men who should know better. IT IS A FACT: That the popular teaching of an eternal hell has no support in the Scriptures, as we shall show. that “the wages of sin is death!”— utter deprivation of being, not eternal torture. that fear of an eternal hell has little moral value to restrain men from sin, since millions who believe it go on living in sin. that fear of an eternal hell is not a necessary

For the past seven years, we have watched as America has moved steadily backwards. We have become a nation that is less free and less fair. We have become a nation that no longer values the right to privacy and has tragically retreated from our cherished foundations. Nothing George W. Question:
How do I speed up songs on windows movie maker?
   Answer:
You can't, BUT you can speed up videos, so you can speed up a song if you
turn it into a video first.
To do this, Create a new project. Import the song. Drag it onto the Timeline
or Storyboard. Then create any title. It doesn't matter what the title says.
On the timeline, click and drag the end of the title so it's the same length
   as the song.
