Radio Telescopes Working…….
Radio telescopes are used to study naturally occurring radio emission from stars, galaxies, quasars, and other astronomical objects between wavelengths of about 10 meters (30 megahertz [MHz]) and 1 millimeter (300 gigahertz [GHz]). At wavelengths longer than about 20 centimeters (1.5 GHz), irregularities in the ionosphere distort the incoming signals. This causes a phenomenon known as scintillation, which is analogous to the twinkling of stars seen at optical wavelengths. The absorption of cosmic radio waves by the ionosphere becomes more important as wavelength

Tutorial 6: How to Register Your ActiveX Components on the Computer Science Machines by Mike Rounding
Something that is a little annoying about how ActiveX develoment works is that you have to register your component with the system you're working on in order for it to recognize it (and so you can then use the control in other projects). Normally you can do this if you just go (in VB) to the File menu and choose Make xxxxxxx.ocx from there. It will write the binary ocx file and register it on the system for you. Unfortunately, it will try to register to a place called Local_Machine in the Wind

This pages show you how to use the VB wizard to create a custom ticker control. It illustrates the VB wizard in detail, how properties can be dispatched to existing controls within your own control, and how completely new properties can be created. It also shows an interesting (even though its simple) new type of control! The actual ticker example is from Chapter 5 of Custom Controls Library by Rod Stephens (O'Reilly Press). We assume that you're going to know how to start up VB and start a new pr

This program is yet another swing on the ADO stuff. This time we're using the *ahem* "recommended" database access mechanism for hitting Access Databases from VB. This took a while to figure out, actually, and I'd like to credit Shaun upstairs here for helping out on this one quite a bit (he's the one that found it and pointed it out to me!!). :) One of the possible dis

Okay, this is the promised ADO example program. It's exactly the same as the example I did for the Data Control and the FlexGrid, but with a few added bells and whistles. Also, it works right away with an Access 97 or 2000 database, which makes things much more convenient. Okay, let's get into this thing:

Okay, the steps to follow: 1. Just save the file to your desktop. 2. Double

The pilot sits behind the gunner in the cockpit. Each seat position has redundant systems allowing the gunner to fly the aircraft if necessary or allowing the pilot to fire the weapons. The Apache has a digital stabilization system that fine-tunes the angles and pitch of the rotors for a smooth flight. It can also make the helicopter hover automatically for short periods. Three digital display panels provide the crew with most navigation and flight information.

The Army and McDonnell Douglas agreed to a five-year, multi-year agreement that will give the Army 232 Longbow Apaches in the first five years of production. The multiyear purchase increases the Longbow Apache production rate in the first year to 24 aircraft and 232 for the five-year period.
Nanotechnology
Nanotechnology refers broadly to a field of applied science and technology whose unifying theme is the control of matter on the atomic and molecular scale, normally 1 to 100 nanometres, and the fabrication of devices within that size range. It is a highly multidisciplinary field, drawing from fields such as applied physics, materials science, interface and colloid science, device physics, supramolecular chemistry, and even mechanical and electrical engineering. Much speculation exists as to what new science and technology may result from these lines of research. Nanotechnology c

It is awesome. It is beautiful. Stretching my eyes over the horizon, I see few more antennae - all tilting together searching for a common goal. What is God? God is love and our hearts should abound in this Supreme Love. Complete surrender to God is the only way to realize the fullness and grandeur of this Love. Through all our activities, let us make him the mark and goal of life, What is God? Is there anyone who does not know about God? These questions appear childish. He explained elaborately on these two points then. “The truth is that the God idea is as widely prevalent as air in the world. But, when one tries to grasp it, and set it forth either in the mind or heart or in words, with some definiteness the task pr
