my son, a soon-to-behigh school sophomore, ormyself. It is an exciting journey to be on with anin-depth study of learningmodalities, self-exploration,and the challenges of thechronically disorganizedpopulation. The insightgained already has provento be invaluable.I am also volunteering my time on theSouth Snohomish County’s SeniorServices Hoarding Task Force (we are indefinite need of an acronym) and soappreciate the thoughtful civil servantswho perform the thankless jobs ofcounty code enforcement, animalcontrol, Adult Protective Services, andmental health.I have challenged myself to continue thesimplifying of my own home this summerand to streamline every room in thehouse by my children’s start of school onSeptember 1. I have plenty of unfinishedprojects that I plan on assessing andeither finishing or letting them go. Myhome is tidy but there is room forimprovement.All of my demonstration items forpresentations are a bit scattered. I’vebeen choosing to ignore our familyvacation photos since 2006. My diningroom hutch conceals a very unstabletower of serving pieces. My spouse, Ian,
