EXT. BLUE SKY - DAY

HEROIC MUSIC plays as we slowly WIDEN, gradually revealing
FANBOY\u2019S seemingly-flying body. First we see his boots, then
his legs, then his cape flapping in the breeze, then his
head, his eyes squinting and face determined. Then we see
his arms outstretched... a HUGE FAN is keeping him aloft. WE
SEE that the blue sky is actually a POSTER on the wall in...

INT. FANLAIR - DAY
Suddenly the fan shorts out with a SPARK. As it slows down,
the heroic music stops, and Fanboy\u2019s body plops to the floor.
FANBOY

Ugh. Soooo hot. I can\u2019t take
another day of this heat.
CHUM CHUM (O.S.)

(lethargic)
Tell me about it. It\u2019s so hot my
mask is running.
ANGLE ON CHUM CHUM: His black mask has streaked down his face
like mascara.
FANBOY

Chum Chum, the situation is dire.
I think we need to go to fail-safe.
CHUM CHUM

You mean...?
FANBOY

Yes. Emergency Plan Alpha.
CHUM CHUM

Aye aye, Fanboy!
(struggles)
Ugh, I\u2019m stuck to the couch.
Little help?
Fanboy uses a GIANT SPATULA to gingerly separate Chum Chum
from the couch and lift him to his feet. We hear a <SIZZLING
SOUND>.
FANBOY

I knew that\u2019d come in handy someday.

The boys cross to an ordinary Fanlair wall. On a nearby
table rests an old PIZZA BOX with one SLICE in it. Fanboy
turns the slice like a dial to a BLINKING GREEN LIGHT.

SFX: <AIR HYDRAULIC SOUNDS>
