Logline
Mecha-Tech is a new toy that does anything you command it to do. And Fanboy will do
anything to get one… including trading Chum Chum to Yo for the day! But Fanboy
quickly realizes that the Mecha-Tech is hardly a replacement for his best friend, and he’ll
do whatever it takes to get Chum Chum back.
EXT. OZ COMIX - DAY
FANBOY (O.S.)
Cut it out, Yo!
INT. OZ COMIX - CONTINUOUS
FANBOY is running around Oz Comix holding CHUM CHUM up over
his head with one hand. YO is happily chasing him jumping up
in the air trying to reach Chum Chum.
YO
C’mon, Fanboy. I just want to play
with him a little bit.
FANBOY
How many times do I have to tell
you? Chum Chum is not a toy!
CHUM CHUM
Yeah, hands off the merchandise!
YO
I know, but he’s just so cute and
Chum Chum-y. I just want to clip
him to my belt and take him
wherever I go.
Fanboy does a double take - Chum Chum is somehow already
clipped to Yo’s belt.FANBOY
<frustrated noise>
He snatches Chum Chum back. A KEY LOOP <RETRACTS> back to
Yo’s belt.
OZ (O.S.)
Silence!
ON OZ, eyes riveted on the television. The kids SKID to a
stop, also looking at the television.
OZ (CONT’D)
You can talk during the cartoons,
but this is a commercial.
ON TV: (NOTE - THIS SCENE WILL BE DONE IN FLASH ANIMATION)
A BOY and GIRL, both looking bored and dissatisfied, sit on
the floor. The girl plays with a YO-YO. The boy
unsuccessfully tries to bounce a TOY TRUCK like a basketball.
